Beautiful Bookshelf: Helen Hancocks' "William and the Missing Masterpiece."

I find children's books to be so inspiring and fun - the stories, the art, the pure imagination. I'm especially drawn to books that, simply, look good on the bookshelf.

Helen Hancocks' new book  is my latest obsession. I picked it up from the library last week and have been not only reading it to the boys nightly, but stealing it every morning and paging through it on my own just to admire the illustrations and notice more of the details on each page.

I especially love the color palette throughout the book. Hancocks has just cemented herself (in my book, at least) as one of my favorite storybook authors. I am dying to go back to read her first book, Penguin in Peril now.

So good. Call me officially obsessed.
