A Recap of My First Fair.

First things first, a huge THANK YOU to the folks who stopped by my booth at the Birth and Baby Fair! The day was completely incredible and I feel lucky to have met so many gorgeous new mamas and mamas-to-be. Nearly a week after the event, I almost feel recovered from all the work it took to get from plan to reality! Seemed so simple when it was just a little sketch and mood board, but pulling the plans together with a shoestring budget and limited time was a huge challenge. Thankfully, everything worked out as well as it possibly could have and the booth looked great. It was colorful, informative and fun - exactly what I was going for.

A major factor for this success was having my friend Darcy by my side for the entire day. She is a saint for giving up a Sunday with her family to help out, and truly made the day fun for me! We talked to dozens of families about the art, and the response was all positive.

Another key to success was my booth neighbor Brooke Bryand, photographer extraordinaire. Brooke and I met a few weeks before the fair to discuss our plans and bounce ideas around - her brainpower and creativity were a huge part of why the details were thought-out and we were ready for anything. (Check out how her booth turned out here.)

The details made the booth even more fun - I made hand-stamped price tags for the pieces that were for sale, handed out stickers with the Senn & Sons logo and shared a slide show of my portfolio of designs on my iPad.

My favorite part of the booth was being able to raffle off a free set of paintings to one lucky family. I'll announce the winner this weekend!
