Back to Work, This Time on an Art Deco Train Series.

I'm pretty happy to back at home-slash-work. I'm working on a daunting list of commissions at the moment, all at different stages in the process, but I always get anxious when I am about to finish a painting for a client. The painting I'm thisclose to being done with is for a little guy whose middle name was inspired by a character in Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged, a book that has been reissued many times with many different covers since it was first published in 1957. One of the most iconic covers features a super cool poster-style art deco train illustration, which served as the initial starting point for the set of paintings.

A few things to finish up before I share photos here, but this one is going to be good. And the good stuff doesn't stop here, either. I've got a SoCal Beach Scene, Champagne Propaganda, Grapes on the Loose and Monkeys in the works. Come on, who doesn't like monkeys?
