Senn & Sons Featured in the WSJ Art Gift Guide!
I can't believe I'm actually writing this because it doesn't feel real, but I'm holding a copy of Friday's Wall Street Journal in my hands and sure enough, there's still a picture of my Spouting Whale prints right there on the front page of the Arena section. Even more incredible is that it's featured in the WSJ's Art Gift Guide!
How does something like this happen? Well, a while back I learned about a new web-based marketplace called Great.ly that connects "Tastemakers" with "Makers" to create curated online storefronts. I took a shot at applying to be one of their Makers and I am now lucky to have my work included in a number of Tastemaker storefronts and even luckier that it caught the eye of Great.ly's creative director who was so kind to mention it when being interviewed for the WSJ article! (She also blogs at The Jealous Curator, which is one of my favorites.)
What a huge honor to be included in this list alongside these other talented artists and designers.
As a massive bonus, our local news WCCO choose my inclusion in the Gift List as one of their "4 Things You Need to Know" for December 19th!
As I package up the orders that have been coming in over the past few days I'm so thankful that I have this opportunity to make art and send it all over the world for others to enjoy. Little bits of encouragement like this one make it even more exciting to work every day.
