Speaking at MPLS Mad Women Event
I had the honor of speaking alongside 11 other accomplished female entrepreneurs and makers at a recent MPLS Mad Women Event called "A Celebration of Female Makers." Each of us had the stage for 5 minutes, and we had 5 slides to present on the topics we pitched to the organizers. The audience of about 200 people was warm and welcoming - helpful for this inexperienced public speaker! They were ready to laugh, they gave me grace when my slides appeared out of order, and were ready to chat after all was said and done.
The speakers were all incredible and so inspiring! I couldn't help but feel proud to be a part of this group.
My talk was about "Second Acts." It was about making big changes in your work to better serve yourself and others, finding your catalyst for making the change, making (and accepting) the sacrifices necessary to start your second act, and doing the work for which you'll ultimately be known.
(Thank you to my friend Kelly for capturing a few action shots!)
My final slide, and a kind of mind-bender at that, which is the ultimate permission to begin your own Second Act journey.
