I'm Going to the Fair (But Not The Kind With Fried Food on a Stick).
As I continue to grow and shape my small business, I have been looking for opportunities to meet potential clients and get to know them a little better. One way to do this is to participate in trade shows or fairs, and I'm quite excited to announce that I will have a booth at this year's SF Birth & Baby Fair on Sunday, October 2nd at Fort Mason. There will be workshops, educational resources and a bunch of shopping for the new and expecting parents at the fair, and I'll be amongst many other local businesses like photographers, designers and others there to meet these young families.
After signing up to have a booth, I realized - I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO WITH MY SPACE! Despite having attended many shows like this one, this will be my first time participating as an exhibitor, which comes with a completely new set of challenges. I have a few ideas for how I want the day to go and what I want people to see in my space, but with a *very* limited budget I'm going to have to get creative to make my work really shine for the fair-goers. I'm collecting inspiration for creating my booth on Pinterest, check this out if you're interested in seeing what's on my mind.
I'd love it if you guys would stop by the fair to say "hi" on October 2nd. I wish this one was a free show, but there's an admission fee. You can click here to buy your tickets if you'd like, and I'm also going to leave a link in the sidebar for quick access to the tickets page.
UPDATE: I just learned there are FREE and discount passes available at giggle and other Bay Area locations. Check HERE to find out where.
UPDATE 2: I have some FREE and discount passes! Comment if you would like one and I'll get it to you before the show. Or, use the code GIGGLE to get 50% off when you're checking out after buying tickets online here.
While this fair won't have carnival rides or fried food on a stick, it will have tons of great resources for young families to check out. And I'll be there too, which makes it even more fun.
